The Kingdom Has Come

The first week of August was a time filled with the Holy Spirit. From August 3-7, the ABBA Elijah-Elisha 2026 Conference took place in Lima, Peru and brought over 350 pastors, pastors’ children, and church youth leaders together to seek God’s heart for the next generation.
Some came with great expectations, eager to hear and receive the words that God had in store for them. Others came wanting to receive insight on how to instruct the next generation. Still others came amidst times of personal trouble, hoping that the Lord would bring them comfort. Praise be to our amazing Abba Father that He heard and fulfilled all of these things and more during the conference!
God spoke powerfully through many different pastors and speakers throughout the course of this conference, but one of the main messages that was highlighted was to consistently be seeking the Lord in a personal way before anything else. After all, how can church leaders invest into the spiritual health of their church unless they are first filled with the Holy Spirit? Simply put, seeking the Lord can be simplified into asking the question, “What do You want me to do, Lord?”

Along with seeking the Father’s heart in a personal way, participants also heard messages about the more practical aspects of doing ministry. How can we identify and break down walls that have been built up within the ministry? How can we improve communication between the pastor and leaders? What steps must we take to ensure the next generation is being trained up properly? These were also some of the questions that were discussed throughout the week.
As the conference wrapped up, there was an undeniable filling of the Holy Spirit amongst all the participants. Walls were broken down, communication was restored, and visions were renewed and realigned all throughout. As one pastor confesses, he is “hopeful for the future of Peru because he sees youth who are presenting their lives at the feet of Christ, and he sees a new generation of missionaries rising up that will be able to conquer the land of Peru for Christ.” Let us continue to lift up the land of Peru in prayer, with hope and faith that God will bring revival to this country!
