A Morning Embrace
For the past 15 years, our youth from the ABBA ministry have used our ECAP books for their daily devotionals. ECAP stands for “Encuentro Con ABBA Padre” or “Encounter with ABBA Father”. God has been using these books to help our youth from Ecuador and Peru to spend time with our God every day, have an encounter with Him, and hear His voice.
God has been and is still using these devotional books to speak to the hearts of these youth who are going through tribulations and hardships; to remind them that He is still God, in control, and desires an intimate relationship with each one of them. ABBA Elishas 2025 marked the beginning of a new era of Elishas from Peru and Ecuador who are willing to deny themselves, carry their cross, evangelize, and fight for the lost souls who do not know Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord. We have witnessed in August, the youths’ hearts set on fire for God. This fire, however, continues with each individual spending time with God, hearing His voice, obeying Him, and putting Him first above all things. Rut Ramos Condori, an ABBA Elisha participant from Cuzco, testifies to how God has been using the ECAP devotionals to help her through her current trials in life.
“As I walk with my mom through her cancer journey, I’ve found a place where my soul rests—my daily devotional, Encounter with Abba Father. For a season, I struggled to do it in the mornings. Work and fatigue often got in the way. But when I returned to spending time with God at the start of my day, I immediately felt the difference. His presence softens my burdens before I even face them. My devotional has become a refuge where I can cry, give thanks, surrender, and hear His voice. In those quiet moments, God touches parts of my heart no one else sees. He reminds me that I am not alone, that He holds both my life and my mother’s, and that His faithfulness stands even in pain. There are mornings filled with fear or uncertainty, but when I open His Word, the Holy Spirit brings peace. When I skip my devotional, I feel it—my fears grow, my heart feels heavier. But even a few minutes with Him brings order, strength, and calm. In this difficult season, my time with Abba Father has become more than a routine—it is His gentle embrace, giving me strength, comfort, and the assurance that He is with me in every detail.”
