A Fire Revived

This past April, pastors and their wives from ten COJ partner churches across Peru gathered for a time of fellowship, prayer, and renewal. Coming from different regions and ministry contexts, they were united in one purpose: to seek the Lord together and be strengthened in the calling He has placed upon their lives, being filled with the “Consuming Fire” of the Holy Spirit.

Throughout the conference, God’s presence was clearly evident as pastors were refreshed by the Holy Spirit, encouraged through fellowship, and reignited with a renewed passion for ministry. It was a time marked by prayer, unity, and a shared vision to raise up the next generation of leaders within their churches.

And already, we are beginning to see the fruit of this gathering. Less than a week after returning home, Pastor Bobbio from Piura shared his desire to begin a leadership training and discipleship class for the youth in his church. His heart is to invest in young people who are eager to grow in their faith and serve the Lord.

We thank God for the work He has begun through this conference, and we ask that you continue to lift up our pastors in prayer. Please pray for Pastor Bobbio as he begins this new initiative, and for all of our COJ pastors that they would continue to lead with wisdom, strength, and a renewed vision for the next generation.
