Equipped for a New Year

In Peru, the month of March marks a season of new beginnings. As a new school year begins, children prepare to return to the classroom with fresh anticipation for what lies ahead. For many families, however, one of the greatest challenges is the cost of school supplies and materials, especially in under-resourced communities.

At the start of each school year, our Children of Jesus partner churches receive support to help provide these essential items for their students. Through the generosity of sponsors like you, children are equipped with the tools they need to begin the school year prepared and confident.

This year, many of our sponsored children were in need of new backpacks. Because of your faithful partnership, each child was able to receive a backpack of their own.

A backpack may seem like a small gift, but it opens the door to learning, growth, and opportunity. But more than that, through the COJ program, each child is given the opportunity to hear the Word of God and experience the love of Christ.

While the physical support you provide meets immediate needs, it is our prayer that lasting spiritual fruit will grow in the life of every child. Through your partnership, children are not only equipped for school, but are also being pointed to the greatest gift we have received, Jesus Christ.
