A Week of Joy and the Gospel

This summer, our Children of Jesus partner church in India welcomed more than 280 children for a week of Vacation Bible School, creating an exciting opportunity to share the love of Christ with the next generation. For many of these children, VBS is more than just a week of fun activities. It is a place where they can experience the love of God, build friendships with one another, and hear the Gospel in a welcoming and engaging environment.

Throughout the week, 45 teachers and volunteers faithfully served the children, dividing them into eight classes where they participated in Bible lessons, worship, games, crafts, puppet shows, and other hands-on activities designed to help them better understand God’s Word. Every lesson, song, and activity was prayerfully prepared with one purpose: to point each child to Jesus Christ.

Along with workbooks, meals, snacks, and special gifts, the children were reminded that while every gift they received was given with love, Jesus Christ is the greatest gift of all. We praise God for the many faithful servants who dedicated their time and energy to making this week possible, demonstrating Christ’s love through both their words and their actions.

As we reflect on this year’s VBS, we are reminded that ministries like these are about far more than a single week of activities. Every Bible story shared, every conversation held, and every act of kindness shown has the potential to plant seeds of faith that continue to grow long after the week has ended.
