Passing on the Torch
In June 2025, 18 COJ pastors and their spouses gathered in Lima for a powerful time of encouragement and refreshing during the annual Pastors Conference. Centered on the theme “Kingdom of God,” drawn from Luke 18:15–17, the conference reminded leaders that God’s Kingdom belongs to those who receive it like a child.
Over the course of four days and three nights, pastors stepped away from their daily responsibilities to be renewed by the Holy Spirit and to sharpen their vision. One central message was clear: keep your eyes on eternity. In a world that values status and success, the call was to remain faithful to what is unseen—investing in the hearts of children, mentoring young leaders, and preaching the truth of the gospel with conviction.
Workshops focused on raising up the next generation of spiritual leaders, and practical tools were shared to help build a culture of discipleship in each local church. Even through games and creative group presentations based on Scripture, there was laughter, deep reflection, and a renewed sense of purpose.
This gathering was more than just training—it was a family reunion in Christ. Hearts were encouraged, burdens were lifted, and the presence of God was tangible.
