Am I Dreaming?

In the heart of India’s eastern coast lies Visakhapatnam, a mid-sized harbor city. A two-hour drive south takes you to the small town of Chintaluru—a place that, in the eyes of the gospel, is as significant as any city.

Here lives Pastor Samuel Abraham, a second-generation pastor with a powerful legacy. His father, born into a Hindu family, experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus, dedicating his life to sharing the gospel with tribal villages. Though he had neither car nor bicycle, he walked tirelessly from village to village, taking along his young son, Samuel, and saying, “We must go to 100 villages and build a church in each one.”

Tragically, Pastor Samuel’s father was called to be with the Lord when Samuel was only 14. Samuel kept his father’s dream alive and continued his studies in seminary to carry on his mission. Two years ago, Pastor Samuel faced a serious health crisis himself—a heart attack that nearly took his life. This challenge limited his ability to reach villages on his old motorcycle.

God, however, had a plan, stirring the hearts of generous sponsors to provide Pastor Samuel with a four-wheel-drive vehicle, empowering him to reach even more villages safely. “Am I dreaming?” he exclaimed with gratitude. “Thank you, Lord, and thank you to the sponsors for this unimaginable blessing! Now I must work even harder for His kingdom.”

Imagine Pastor Samuel now, driving into new villages, his heart set on establishing 100 churches to fulfill his father’s vision. We invite you to pray with us for Pastor Samuel’s continued health and strength so that, through him, the people of India may experience the saving grace of Jesus.
