A Good God Who Answers Us
In our previous newsletter, we shared news about the many pastors who had been called home into the Father’s arms during this pandemic. We were saddened because we had prayed hard for them and felt our prayers went unheard or not answered in the ways we desired. However, regardless of how we feel, we know that God hears the prayers of His people and His answers are always good because He is always good.
And we must not take it for granted when our heavenly Father does answer us in ways we desperately desired, but must share to testify of it so we bring Him the glory and praise He deserves!
• Pastor Rolando Canazas (Raven of Love & COJ pastor, Iquitos, Peru) had a severe case of coronavirus in mid-February. He also has asthma, and thus, faced greater challenges with breathing and needed to be on oxygen due to low levels. Though recovery was slow, Pastor Rolando attended the pastors Zoom meeting in April and testified how God had heard everyone’s prayers and revived him.
• Pastor Juan Pablo Contreras (Raven of Love pastor, Lima, Peru) started having coronavirus symptoms in mid-March and eventually had to be hospitalized. In Denver and in Peru, prayers were lifted up before God’s throne and we recently heard news that he had recovered and is now at home with his family.
• Pastor Rosa’s (ABBA Huacho coordinator, Eagle’s Nest) son, Jhonathan, helps her in her ministry with great passion. Though his coronavirus symptoms were mild initially, he was soon in need of oxygen. They faced challenges due to the limited oxygen supply throughout Peru, but by God’s grace and His miraculous intervention, they were connected to someone an hour away from their home who provided them with an oxygen tank. Jonathan has now fully recovered.
• Many of you are familiar with Pastor Patricio Granada (Raven of Love & COJ pastor, Cusco, Peru) through previous communications; he lost his daughter and son-in-law to a car accident and dealing with the aftermath was like a nightmare. He was in great need of financial provisions for the surviving grandchildren’s medical expenses and to continue raising them as their guardian. God brought His people together to give to this family and met their immediate needs.
Our God is healer. Our God is provider. Our God has heard and answered our prayers. Thank you for continually praying alongside of us. So what do we do now? Keep praying! Without ceasing, in one mind, heart, and spirit, because we know God is a good Father who will continue to hear the cries of His children and answer us according to His good will! Hallelujah!
