What is Eagle’s Nest?

The Eagle’s Nest ministry began with one simple act of compassion. In 2002, during the annual summer short term mission trip, a group from HanHee Kim World Mission Center met a young boy named Sergio. He and his family were living in a fragile shelter made of plastic sheets, without a proper roof over their heads. When asked, his mom said, “I pray everyday to our wonderful Savior to provide us a house with a roof, so when the rain falls our children would not get wet.”

Moved by his family’s situation, the team gathered support to build them a home. What began as a response to one child’s need became the foundation of a new ministry.

In its early years, Eagle’s Nest focused primarily on helping families secure safe housing. But over time, it became clear that the needs facing our partner communities extended beyond home construction alone.

Today, Eagle’s Nest exists to provide practical livelihood support for individuals and families experiencing significant financial hardship. Whether the need involves daily living expenses, food, ministry-related costs, or other essential support, this ministry serves as a place of covering when circumstances fall outside the scope of other sponsorship programs.

Just as an eagle’s nest offers shelter and protection in uncertain conditions, Eagle’s Nest seeks to provide stability during vulnerable seasons so that families and ministry leaders may continue forward with dignity, faith, and hope.
